Westbere Sailing Opportunities (WSO) is a registered charity that was founded by the late David James MBE in 2001, with the sole purpose of providing an enjoyable, safe, therapeutic and recreational experience to people of all ages with a disability.
Whenever possible an interest in learning to sail will be encouraged.
Each sailing member is an important individual with their own special needs and these are discussed with that person and/or their carers/support workers.

Principles
WSO is commited to the principle of equality of opportunity. Our aims are to ensure that all present and potential volunteers, who are the backbone of the club, and Sailing Members are treated fairly and on an equal basis - this is irrespective of their gender, age, disability, ethnic origin, colour, creed, social status, sexual orientation or offending background.
